When looking for clothes for my toddler I keep 2 things in mind:
- Quality
- Price
When it comes to quality I want something that won’t tear at the first jump or tumble, but not break the bank quality. Which leads to price. I’m dressing a growing little human who probably won’t fit in this by the end of the season, no need to spend the big bucks.
Basics are the foundation to any wardrobe and make getting dressed so much easier. With the temps dropping a bit here in Southern California, I need items that will keep my toddler warm and comfy but nothing extreme.
What’s a capsule wardrobe? It’s a collection of basic pieces you can mix & match to create a variety of outfits for the season. I like to stick to a neutral color palette, and choose one or two pops of color to add in. For this round I chose cream, black, and a pop of blush pink.
Here are my 12 picks for my toddler this winter:
- Warm neutral sweater
- Soft chenille sweater
- Oversized flannel
- Snow suit (detachable hood is a plus)
- Warm coat with a hood
- Cozy sweat outfit
- Solid onesie
- Leather skirt
- Boots (waterproof preferably)
- Knit tights or leggings
- Beanie
- Gloves
